« Each canvas gets a little closer to who I am; a fascinating inner search, a lifelong journey to the self! »
Olivier Lamboray, Belgian surrealist painter, was born in 1968 in Ixelles.
Internationally known, several times awarded, he has exhibited all over the world: Belgium,
New York, Monaco, Venice, Sydney, Rome, London, Paris, Bangkok, Amsterdam,
Bali and Guinea in Conakry,

He currently lives in Germany after spending around twenty years in Indonesia.
Nourished by this place, his paintings make us relive Belgian surrealism in his own way: blue, dreamy, poetic, positive, symbolic, intoxicating.
We find in his work a meticulous rendering of details, a perfection of shadows and lights so dear to the great Belgian surrealists, an allegory of mysteries and atmospheres, a journey which takes us into a world where dreams enchant and the heart flourishes.

More recently he exhibited at the Venice Art Biennale (2022), invited by the European Cultural Center and a retrospective was dedicated to him at the Tours art museum in France, in the prestigious Hôtel Goüin (2023).
