Olya Astorg

Olya Astorg, a graduate of the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts, uses egg tempera, natural pigments, and gold leaf for her icons, drawing on a prestigious background in theater set design and church restoration. Her technique strictly adheres to the sacred canons of iconography, borrowing formal and symbolic rigor from the Byzantine tradition and the legacy of Fayum portraits.
