Peterhintz has gained national recognition in Germany as a painter, draftsman, and printmaker. His surrealist pictures convey the vast spectrum of humanity in Berlin. Peterhintz evokes their stories, past entanglements, as well as themes surrounding liberty and freedom of choice. He does not make sketches or take photographs of his subjects. His creative process begins with colored pencils, followed by several layers of watercolors. He finishes his pieces with pencil accents.
