Petra Mattes is an experienced German artist who has exhibited her works internationally, including in the US, Colombia and Italy. Exploring art's ideology, religion, social policy and everyday life, she works spontaneously to create paintings that showcase strong artistic direction and energy. Mattes never has planned ideas in mind, and often incorporates unique materials throughout the creative process, such as pieces of bark or coffee grounds.
