Having grown up in a family of artists, musicians and writers, Philippe Charpentier first pursued music before turning to painting as his chosen career. His only treated theme is pleasure, letting the painting define its own law and enjoying the journey it manifests. He prefers to mix a variety of techniques, including drawing, collage, oil and acrylic, and manipulates them to compose vibrant, colourful works that explode with energy.
