« When matter offers itself to art, the sculptor is the alchemist who unites them. »
Philippe Roy is an artist based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally. Describing himself as a sculptor of matter, his artistic practice explores the interior of his compositions. Roy's central themes revolve around the sphere and the totem, which, for him, symbolizes the energetic balance of yin and yang. He most often creates using stainless steel, concrete, and composite materials, such as resin.
