Piotr Kachny's figurative works show the sensual side of human beings that has been suppressed due to interactions of cultures and conventions, including education and upbringing. For him, the most important part of his art, most often invisible at first glance, is the emotions, states of mind, and characters of his subjects. Kachny paints using oils, mixing artistic oil paints with industrial ones.
