PJ Riley is a thinker who paints contemporary symbolic paintings exploring duality, collective humanity, and the tension between opposing forces through stark, minimal forms and high-contrast composition.
Through simplified figures, raised hands, shadowed forms, and stark black-and-white compositions, he explores the tension between unity and division, silence and voice, light and shadow.
An artist whose work explains something important about modern humanity; the world, the future, humbled in the context of what it means to be a father, son, partner and brother whilst all the time remaining true to oneself.
