Polar Bear

PolarBear is a French street artist.
He masters the technique of multi-layered stencil art, developing his visuals from a mix of drawings and photos that he works on using a computer.
Once his design is created, he prints and then cuts out by hand the different layers of the stencil which he then spray paints.
His work as a chief electrician on film sets allowed him to develop his eye for photography and to master the manipulation of light and shadow. This mastery of light is reflected in the gradations of his stencils.
He infuses his works with a vibrant poetry, an openness to wonder evoking in turn childhood, music, love and a deep desire to protect life.
