Rachel Ostrow is an American painter who has exhibited in New York. Somewhere between abstraction and representation, her paintings revel in the fluidity of visual perception and urge the eye to wander through space, form, light and movement. Ostrow paints using a squeegee and transparent oils. Through the blending of materials and the force of gestural application, she creates strange and unplanned places.
