RAFA MATEO

With a background as a designer and architect, Rafa Mateo's understanding of of design has always been eclectic, which carries over into his work as an artist. He defines himself as a 'precision painter', blending geometric abstraction and pop art. Mateo combines digital with analog and the organic, with a conceptual discourse that evolves through different series. His artistic process begins with a drawing, which he then digitizes to decide shape and color. The piece is then transferred to canvas by hand.
