Rainer Kruse

I have been painting passionately since childhood. Exploring and experimenting with subject matter, style, and technique has become a constant companion. What wants to express itself, and how can I depict it?
I never wanted to follow a conventional path; I sought my own unique style. Birds, landscapes, figurative and abstract works, planets on canvas with acrylics and pigments—paintings that emerged as if in a trance. I designed comic characters for the newspaper of the Wuppertal community center "Die Börse." Exhibitions followed as part of WOGA in Wuppertal, and I initiated annual wall calendars in which I and other dedicated artists presented motifs from Wuppertal.
Together with Andrea Franke, I created free, surreal works of morpho-biological forms. I designed large-format garage doors and am currently working on a container wall, which is teaching me new boundaries in terms of material selection and technique that I want to overcome.
I want to stay picturesquely young, so curious. Where do I come from, where am I going?
