Raja Oshi is a South African painter who has exhibited nationally and featured in several publications. Her art reflects what is happening around the world, specifically relating to women and children. It is sometimes joyous and other times reflective of collective suffering and numerous human rights violations. Oshi feels compelled to tell the stories of the figures she portrays, their disappointments, successes and miracles. She employs inks, acrylics, oils and pencil on canvases she weaves herself, creating a unique texture.
