Richard Gordon

Richard Gordon, a self-taught Jamaican painter, brings a background in boat building and auto body repair to his expressive work, using paint as his primary medium. His unique splash abstract technique draws inspiration from vibrant patterns originally applied to boat interiors, translating that same innovation onto canvas. Gordon’s dynamic, spontaneous style channels the rhythm of nature and the depth of personal memory, evoking a sense of vitality, resilience, and the healing power of creative transformation.
