Rolsy

Fatemeh Masoumi is an Iranian-born, self-taught artist whose creative journey began as a personal refuge and gradually became a professional pursuit. With a background in microbiology, her fascination with invisible systems and inner worlds subtly informs her visual language.

Working under the artistic name Rolsy, she creates emotionally layered oil and acrylic paintings that blend surrealism with lived experience. Her work navigates the shifting terrain of memory, displacement, and identity—often shaped by the solitude of migration and the transformative impact of travel, especially through East Asia and Europe.
