Séverine Loisel is a French painter living in Lisbon, Portugal. Her background combines Parisian schools (Penninghen and Ecole supérieure d'art graphique) and trompe l'oeil school (Van Der Kelen) in Brussels.
She primarily works with oil paint enriched with metallic powders such as copper and iron, which she oxidizes with acids to create an aged effect. She also uses copper foil, sand, or tissue paper that has been pre-painted and glued on.
His technique is expressed through spontaneous gestures, layering of materials and an intuitive exploration of color, revealing a vibrant and sensory abstraction.
Through her works, she invites an emotional encounter, offering spaces of silent resonance where each spectator can connect with their inner world.
A painting only fully exists in the encounter.
I would be delighted to share my world and my vision of balance with you.
