Sabine Dohmen

I work primarily with oil and acrylic paints. Driven by passion and curiosity, I began my artistic journey autodidactically before further developing my skills through various art courses. In my work, I combine abstract compositions with realistic portraits, creating artworks that are both poetic and vibrant.

My art thrives on the free interpretation of painting, where meticulously crafted details merge with spontaneous, flowing forms to create an expressive whole – an interplay of intuition and precision. I give shape to emotions: fragile strength, solace, joy of life… and I am always searching for that quiet beauty hidden in authentic truth. My subjects find me – and they begin to tell their own stories on the canvas.
