Sam Knowles is an exciting British artist who has exhibited his work nationally. His endless fascination of animals and the way they experience our world forms the focus of his artistic exploration; he composes linocut works and paintings that primarily depict lone animals surrounded by considerable space. While clear representational elements create a narrative line in each print, his employed emptiness ensures such narratives remain elusive and open to interpretation. Knowles's overall aesthetic appears clean, pensive and intriguing.
