« I experience life on a relatively intense level - I rarely feel 'halfway' about things. My art allows me to process and share experiences, hoping to make a connection with people. »
Sarah Dudley, an award-winning Canadian painter who resides in Germany, explores intangible elements, including the unacknowledged or overlooked, through her art. She creates images that bring to light forgotten or abandoned places, as well as examining her own deep-seated emotions. Enjoying the process of lithography, Dudley's paintings and drawings begin with a representational object which she then abstracts until the focus is drawn to the color, shape, and line.
