Sasha Sokolova is an established Russian painter with international exposure. She primarily uses classical techniques which she learnt from her grandfather (who was also an artist and her mentor) and contrasts them with modern images that combine realism and simple, semi-abstract forms. This results in a striking aesthetic that pops with color and attitude.
