« I offer an honest, unglamorous, undecorated vision of the female body. »
Shaina Craft is a prizewinning American painter with national exposure. A classically trained oil painter, she combines historical techniques with contemporary subject-matter, such as the breadth of the contemporary female experience and the complicated relationship we have with our physical selves. Subverting traditional standards of the female nude, she composes deep ruminations about the experience of living life in our bodies, in all their vulnerability and strength.
