Shawn Hall is an accomplished American artist and former recipient of the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Hall became closely engaged in documenting and researching various environments, and her work is now grounded in her appreciation and exploration of the natural world. Paying homage to the complexities and interconnectedness of nature, she composes abstract pieces that communicate the awe-inspiring power and intricacy of elements such as light, sound waves microorganisms. Hall’s body of work is full of rhythm, balance and the interplay of intuition and action.
