Shuja Echoles is a multidisciplinary artist—painter, photographer, drawer, printmaker, digital and visual artist—whose self-taught background in Philadelphia and exposure to Basquiat inspire his expressive journey. He fuses urbanism and pop culture with Harlem Renaissance, AfroFuturism, Greco-Roman, Pop Grunge, and anime influences, working intuitively and with vibrant, flowing color. His art radiates a sense of lived experience, freedom, humble boldness, and a fiercely clinging spirit, evoking the emotional atmosphere of city streets and the resilience of life. He has his own website with more works at gr4ffiti.us
