« When my mind takes over what the eyes can no longer perceive during artistic production, the result is pure abstraction. »
Montera is a talented painter from the Philippines, whose work has been exhibited in China, Indonesia, France, Taiwan, South Korea and the Philippines. Finding it essential to dissociate the process of image-making from any preconceived idea, he creates abstract art characterized by open color fields, strong gestural marks, and varying degrees of intensity.
