Soledad Lagruta is an Argentinian painter whose works have been exhibited nationally and in the United States. Her neo surrealistic pieces mix ephemeral and metaphysical elements with hyper realistic figures. Lagruta portrays animals in human situations, utilizing the theory that if we take animal behavior as an example, the world would be very different. In many of her compositions, she criticizes man's destruction of nature and themselves.
