Sophie Anne Wyth, a French painter who resides in the United Kingdom, feels that her work is the opposite of theoretical and imbued with visceral emotion. When painting the figurative, she explores the essence of the subject. Wyth’s abstract pieces are created only when she feels she has ‘something to say’, otherwise she will return to the piece later. She mainly works with oils on canvas, though sometimes uses acrylics and mixed media.
