SR Mattoose is an American artist whose paintings have been exhibited in numerous solo and group events in the United States. His compositions do not illustrate, describe nor depict, rather, he endeavors to imbue the surfaces and images with sensitivity, transmitting mystical primordial ideas by means of symbols. Mattoose intensely personal works also aim to reveal truths through nuance and suggestion.
