« I want to express sensuality as a separatist of calligraphy. »
Shinnyo is an artist based in Japan whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in France and Mauritius. She believes that calligraphy is not only a framework of Japanese classical art but also of contemporary art. Through her works, Shinnyo fuses the meaning of letters (ideograms) and the beauty of form. In her artistic process, she employs silkscreen techniques and engraving with Japanese paper and ink.
