Stella Dunkley’s art is deeply inspired by the sea and the natural world. Both sunrises and sunsets are recurring subjects in her compositions, as the quality of light during these moments is beautiful and the associated vibrant colors are a joy for her to paint. Weather permitting, Dunkley paints in plein air, but she also sketches and photographs ideas to take back to her studio. She creates using oils, acrylics, and mixed media.
