The relationship between light and color is a central theme of Stephen Stott’s work, and he is intrigued by the search of finding an ‘invigorating’ combination of both. For over a decade he has researched and painted the effects of light on the landscape, giving a renewed representation of his perceptions and sense of place. Stott records a location using photography, which he uses as a reference during his creative process. He paints using oil on canvas and wood.
