« I am intrigued by a particular set of ideas: the imagery of currents and creatures underwater and reflections on the surface, blossoms and leaves in the garden, swaths of stars zooming through space. »
Stephen Yates is an artist based in the United States whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Through his works, he explores his passion for abstract imagery that is suggested by the natural world. Yates's most recent compositions are inspired by "ambiguous atmospheres". In his artistic process, he most often employs acrylics, charcoal, cotton, and spray paint on canvas.
