The Waterworld series of paintings is inspired by the vastness and beauty of the oceans. The works are created with a combination of ultramarine blue, white, magenta, red, gold and black pigments. The different shadows of ultramarine blue with other pigments are combined to evoke the feeling of a vast, open sea with its crashing waves, vast depths and endless horizon. The paintings also explore the emotional connection between the sea and mankind, as well as the mysteries that lie beneath it. The series of paintings are meant to capture the spirit of the ocean and its powerful energy.
