Teppei Ikehila is a Japanese painter whose works are elegantly simplistic yet also combine multiple visual elements. He believes that art is the last hope of integrating ‘the separate’ while retaining a sense of autonomy. Though surrealists create from the unconscious and similarities can be drawn from that style to his own, Ikehila’s large scale oil compositions are consciously created.
