Color and atmosphere are key elements in Thea Peters' works. She is fascinated by the emergence of life and depicts the 'infinite interaction of movement' of organisms, cells, creatures, patterns, minerals, and rocks. Garnering inspiration from photographs, Peters often lets the paint determine her compositions. She works on multiple canvases at once in order to preserve spontaneity and creates using watercolors and oils.
