Ugo Nonis is an exciting French painter based in the US, who fostered a strong connection to America as a boy after spending time in Chicago and absorbing popularised ideas and experiences of American youth. Following a career in graphic design, he turned to painting, and hasn't stopped evolving since. He employs abstracted words and shapes to reveal layers of meaning and capture different moments of his life, achieving an overall aesthetic marked by vibrant colours, intriguing figures and a bold illustrative flair.
