Umesh Shah is an artist based in Nepal whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally. In addition, his art is part of the Park Gallery of Nepal's permanent collection. Growing up in the countryside, he observed his grandmother making traditional Mithila art with natural pigments and clay during family functions and festivities. Shah's compositions are inspired not only by his family and culture but also by the tradition of Mithila art and its motifs.
