Uwe Schmidt

Uwe Schmidt utilizes painting, photography, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and digital and conceptual media – drawing on a solid education at the Rödel Art School in Mannheim and the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) under Prof. Marwan. He works with vibrant colors, combining impasto and thin layers of paint and integrating unconventional materials such as fabrics, with Impressionism and Expressionism being key influences. His works merge sensual experiences with real-world impressions, creating new visual worlds – always emerging from an emotional blend of reality and personal feeling.
