Valérie Dragacci is a contemporary French painter, deeply inspired by the Mediterranean light and the landscapes of her native island, Corsica. Her work is part of a sensitive exploration of color, texture, and emotion, situated between abstraction and figuration.
For over thirty years, she has been developing a pictorial universe where the sea, horizons, skies, and natural elements become major sources of inspiration. Her works do not seek faithful representation, but suggestion: a sail, a horizon line, a movement of light emerges and then dissolves, leaving room for the viewer's imagination.
Her palette, dominated by deep blues, sunny ochres, and luminous whites, evokes the Mediterranean in all its vibrancy. Painting becomes an emotional language, conveyed through transparency, layering, and the manipulation of materials.
