Véronique Enée, working under the artist name Vebenee, combines training in literature, art history, fashion design, and fine arts. Mastering ancient encaustic, she fuses this technique with contemporary processes, creating works that oscillate between tradition and modernity. Her striking abstract-figurative creations, blending symbolism and female portraiture, exude a visual tension. Embracing themes of femininity and vanity, her dreamlike interplay between the fragile beauty of life and the presence of death inspires a sense of wonder tinged with melancholy.
