Wiktoria Deero is a talented Polish artist based in London, who has exhibited her work throughout the UK. Her paintings primarily explore the idea of escapism, and their distinctive, surreal character recalls Magic Realism and its notion of a 'somewhere world.' Deero constructs a visual escape that leads the viewer to a place where they can feel at once confused and lost, surprised and awakened. Dreamy skies mix with dark colours to create an overall paradoxical atmosphere: of familiarity and the unknown, beauty and loss.
