« Art is time stopped. - Pierre Bonnard »
Xi Chen, a Chinese painter who resides in France, began painting when she was four-years-old and was influenced by her grandfather who was also an artist. Over time, she has de-emphasized the importance of details in her works, playing with colors, using thick layers of paint, and replaced her brushes with spatulas. Chen's artistic language centers around the interpretation of nature and its variety of color and light.
