Sandra Poikane
Latvia
Sandra Poikane works primarily with oil paints on canvas and looks back on a lifelong career characterized by intense and quiet phases. Her technique oscillates between figuration and abstraction, harmoniously combining organic motifs such as plants and insects with geometric structures and color fields. Her works invite the viewer to experience the tension between nature, transience, and transformation, conveying a deep, contemplative emotionality—a quiet search for balance and inner transformation.
