Valeria Morasso is an Italian contemporary artist whose paintings explore the space between the real and the imagined. Through color, texture and gesture, she transforms landscapes, memories and fragments of everyday life into atmospheric, imaginary worlds.
Her work moves between abstraction and landscape, where gardens, cities, water, trees and mountains become starting points for a more intuitive visual language. Rather than depicting a place literally, Morasso seeks to capture its emotional resonance — the sensation of being there, remembered or imagined.
Working primarily with acrylic and mixed media, she builds her paintings through layers, marks and tactile surfaces, allowing the image to emerge gradually. Her compositions balance structure and spontaneity, reflecting a dialogue between her technical background in Electronic Engineering and her instinctive approach to painting.
Based in Italy, Morasso has exhibited in galleries, museums and cultural institutions
