Born in Belarus, Yury Khilko is a prize-winning artist whose paintings are featured in several international museums. As the head of the Department of Graphic Arts at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, Khilko seeks to reconcile the traditions of graphic arts and painting within his own work. The artist’s fluidity, as well as his perception of light and air, are evident in his abstract multi-layer paintings. Expect to see the exploration of symbols, myths and signs within his works.
