« A painting is a door, a passage. Beyond this door, when I paint I am a fashion designer for the soul. »
Yvan Genest is an experienced artist based in Canada whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in France, Mexico, and the United States. He describes his art as being spiritual and emerging in the form of characters that he transforms until they inhabit the canvas and take possession of it. Their final presence acts as a parable of the great mystery of our passage in life.
