About this artwork
Greenland and the Arctic are a hot topic at the moment.
It made me think of my earlier paintings of this area. Frequently, I return to my theme of the Arctic and Scandinavia because nature is so fascinating and full of mystique.
The motifs do not show any specific places, but the essence of the landscapes, small hamlets on the shoreline, huge icebergs, and deep blue sea.
Here you will find some small studies of the coastline og Greenland. Enjoy!

Aase Lind is a painter living and working in Denmark. She has previously completed courses at the School of Arts in Denmark where she was personally mentored by Henrik Hoffmann. Her semi-abstract paintings depict landscapes or floral still lifes, often using impossible colors to heighten the intensity of her subject matter.
