This artwork reimagines two Maldivian women resting back‑to‑back beneath a palm, now illuminated by the soft radiance of Naples Yellow layered into the original turquoise world. The new palette shifts the atmosphere: the cool depth of indigo‑turquoise meets the warm, chalk‑soft glow of Naples Yellow, creating a dialogue between shadow and light. while facing different directions. Line‑drawn foliage and textured acrylic marks drift around them, blurring the boundary between illustration and painted surface.
