About this artwork
The artist loves mountains, since he was a kid there has always been a fascination and a primitive urge to climb them whenever he saw them off in the distance, which now seems to have been supplanted by an urge to paint them.
This vision of the iconic twin peaks of Ararat has become one of his personal favourites. He's certainly not the first to be enraptured by these ancient mountains and trying to capture them in paint, but he's applied his spin… on it with principles of minimalism and colour fields to give the immediacy of sensation, in the simplest and most direct way, of seeing the mountain.

« Paintings allow the mind to relax and wander, to let go of the mundane and focus on the things that really matter. »
Abdullah Khan is an exciting artist whose work has been exhibited in India. First drawn to painting after being inspired by Cubism's proposal of perceiving the physical, he creates striking pieces that play on movement and memory, in order to represent reality closer to how we perceive it.
