About this artwork
The ideation for this painting was triggered by the increasingly well organised and enduring protests in Hong Kong, effectively crumpling its economy and bringing it to its knees. Seemingly as catalyst, the rest of the world followed, with protests in the Arab world, France, Spain, Algeria, Latin America and India. Today, there are more than 15 countries with ongoing protests. It appears that this is the current zeitgeist, this mood of uprising,…
shaking the world.

« Paintings allow the mind to relax and wander, to let go of the mundane and focus on the things that really matter. »
Abdullah Khan is an exciting artist whose work has been exhibited in India. First drawn to painting after being inspired by Cubism's proposal of perceiving the physical, he creates striking pieces that play on movement and memory, in order to represent reality closer to how we perceive it.
