About this artwork
This Venus confidently confronts today's beauty cult. Made of painted, sewn, and embroidered cotton, she openly displays her seams, densities, and irregularities. The pronounced texture deliberately evokes scars, dents, and perceived flaws—all that is otherwise hidden or perfected.
With a touch of humor, the work questions conventional beauty ideals and celebrates imperfection as an expression of strength, identity, and lived reality.
This Venus… confronts contemporary beauty standards with confidence and subtle humor. Made from painted, sewn, and embroidered cotton, it openly reveals seams, textures, and irregularities. The tactile surface intentionally recalls scars, dents, and so-called imperfections — elements often hidden or corrected.
With a playful yet powerful gesture, the work challenges ideals of perfection and embraces imperfection as a source of strength and authenticity.

He works as a painter and textile artist in his studio in Bad Kissingen. Following his artistic training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kolbermoor, where he studied under Siegfried Anzinger, among others, he developed a distinctive visual language that lies between Pop Art and Street Art.
His works combine painting with textile elements and arise from an experimental approach to a wide variety of materials – from gilded wooden panels to canvas and sewn wall objects.
In his works, he tells intimate, playful, and often humorous stories about love, identity, and the complexity of human emotions. He invites the viewer to find themselves reflected in these moments and to discover new perspectives on their own experiences.
